Worth

i wish i could have a lovely cottage house with flowers (hyrangeas, stargazers, violets, wisteria) overlooking an open window, bread and pies baking in an oven, Mahler playing through the rooms, a long stair case leading to a roof with a glass house on top with more flowering plants and a pearl white couch. this is a sanctuary. we're like stray kittens, our homes are not here. i want to work to build a colony in which i can have you over for tea a lot of the time. you teach me to love freely and purely.

Strength and her Lion
Strength is something i need the most. More than any other trait. Without strength i am that little baby kitten i saw when i was a little girl. If i could i would live in Ojai on a lovely green field with flowers and acryllic paints and Boards of Canada. But to get to where we want, we need Strength. Hurt by those i loved and care about. Are we loving the wrong people? Maybe the more time passes, the more we lose culture identity. This is quite true. I will never be the girl who gives up her identity and succumbs to someone or something else. I am color and i am free.

Witch's Lullaby
Everytime, after my mother and i had a fight, i'd always eat one of these spanish pastry treats called churros.
The cinnamon sugar always had this soothing effect, the crystals twinkling making this dance on my taste buds, the soft doughy comfort food easing my thoughts. Now the dough just tasted sour and the sugar like sawdust. Promising and soothing nothing. Afterwards my mother sing-songed apologies. And i sang them back. Witch's lullaby. The tension eases but wanes like candelight.
